The power of Virgo's gentle recalibration - Taipei Times

In a past Golden Age, Astraea, the Goddess of Justice, was the last deity to leave the human world. As the world descended from purity into the Iron Age of greed and falsehood, she did everything in her power to turn the tide, striving to guide all that had gone astray back onto the right path. Even after she ascended into the night sky and became the constellation Virgo, that power of "recalibrating imbalance" never disappeared.

Every year, from August 23 to September 22, the energy of Virgo becomes increasingly clear. This energy is not about finding fault, nor is it about returning to some rigid idea of "perfection." Rather, it helps us notice the subtle ways in which we may be drifting away from what is true to ourselves, allowing us to see where adjustments can be made and where new opportunities may lie. The seeds that have taken root and grown over the past six months are now approaching their first harvest. Through this initial harvest, we are given the opportunity to examine the causes and effects that have deviated from their original intentions, and to make more precise adjustments before the next round of sowing.

This month is an especially good time to look for the areas of life that need recalibration. Virgo energy can also help us precisely identify the people, resources and circumstances that can support that process of adjustment. Whether it is finding a doctor who is right for you, discovering resources that are still missing from a project, receiving suitable financial support through a personal connection or finding an opportunity for deeper communication and adjustment when problems arise in a relationship, this energy can bring a remarkable sense of precision to the process.

In a way, this month may bring everyone an experience of "patching things up" across different levels of life. And once those repairs have been made, they can leave us with a refreshing sense of renewal — a feeling of being completely refreshed from the inside out.

Virgo's qualities are often misunderstood in traditional astrology as being overly critical, picky or difficult to deal with. In reality, this energy has a remarkable ability to see through the subtle deviations within people, situations and systems, while also sensing the problems those deviations may create further down the road. This makes this month an especially good time to make use of Virgo's energy to examine the environments, relationships and work we find ourselves in, and to recalibrate them in ways that are most faithful to our original intentions.

But there is one thing worth remembering: while making use of this power of recalibration, it should never be used to attack others — and even less so to attack ourselves.

In truth, the energy of every zodiac sign, at every level and in every aspect, is fundamentally neutral. Every zodiac article I write simply follows the movement of the seasons and the energies of the universe, describing the way they move and offering what I feel are the most suitable ways to move with them.

Virgo energy is often mistaken for a blade of self-criticism turned inward. But everyone who carries the energy of a particular zodiac season will eventually come to understand that the qualities we possess are often here because they have something to offer the world.

May everyone who has ever doubted themselves because of their own unique energy find a sense of peace and reassurance during this Virgo season.

For Capricorn, work opportunities this month may come hand in hand with beneficial romantic connections. The friends you genuinely enjoy spending time with, the people whose frequency feels naturally aligned with yours, may very well become your benefactors during this Virgo season. So, whatever you do, don't overlook them.

For Aquarius, your own blind spots may create a few minor misunderstandings this month. Remember: whenever you notice that things are unfolding differently from what you thought they would, make sure to speak up and communicate. You may find that everything was simply a misunderstanding, and once you talk things through, everything will be fine.
